Become a Guardian Family with Greenbah – Australia's #1 Groodle Breeder

At Greenbah Groodles, we are proud to be recognised as Australia’s leading Groodle breeder, committed to ethical, responsible breeding practices and raising healthy, happy, and well-socialised puppies. Our Guardian Program allows our breeding dogs to grow up in loving, one-on-one family environments while still being a part of our selective breeding program. This partnership gives Guardian Families the opportunity to raise a top-quality Groodle as their own, without the upfront purchase cost of a premium Groodle puppy.

Our Guardian Program places select dogs in forever homes with approved families who care for and raise them as their own. While Greenbah retains breeding rights during the contract, the dog lives full-time with the Guardian Family.

Once her breeding career is complete, she is desexed free of charge and fully transitions to the family as their forever dog.

Guardian Family Requirements:

To be eligible, Guardian Families must:

  • Have a fully fenced, secure yard

  • Be committed to training and socialising the dog

  • Provide a breeder-approved premium diet

  • Live within reasonable driving distance of Dubbo or the Hunter Valley NSW

  • Not have any entire (unneutered) male dogs in the home

  • Be willing to travel or organise transport for breeding and checkups

  • Ensure regular grooming and coat maintenance

What Does It Cost?

To ensure commitment and care, Greenbah charges a $500 security deposit for our Guardian Groodles. We believe that even a nominal cost encourages families to take the responsibility seriously.

As a Guardian Family, you are responsible for:

  • Day-to-day expenses (food, training, toys, bedding)

  • Routine vet care (excluding breeding-related treatments)

  • Grooming and coat upkeep

Greenbah covers all breeding-related costs, including:

  • Health testing and breeding procedures

  • Immunisations

  • Desexing at the end of the breeding contract

When Puppies Arrive

When it's time for your Guardian girl to have a litter, she will return to Greenbah about a week before her due date. She stays with us until her puppies are weaned—typically 6 to 8 weeks. Families are encouraged to visit mum and pups, except during the first 5 weeks due to the puppies’ delicate immune systems.

The Benefits of Becoming a Guardian Family:
  • Raise a high-quality Greenbah Groodle with no purchase fee

  • Partner with Australia’s top Groodle breeder

  • Be part of a supportive, ethical breeding community

  • Help raise happy, healthy puppies for loving homes

  • Enjoy a lifelong companion, desexed and fully yours after the contract

If you're passionate about dogs and want to be part of Australia’s #1 Groodle breeding program, apply to become a Greenbah Guardian Family today. You'll not only gain a beautiful, loving Groodle but also contribute to the future of healthy, ethically bred puppies.

Please note that due to the variable nature of the Poodle’s colouring, some puppies may change colour upon maturity. Greenbah reserves the right to infuse other suitable breeds into our breeding program to stabilise our genetic lines at our discretion.  Focusing on improving Colour, Size, Coat Type and other physical attributes that are specific to our breeding line.
